Susan L. Crawford

Colonie- Susan L. Crawford, 74, passed away on May 28, 2024, with many family members at her side. Born in Albany, N.Y. on May 9,1950 to John B. Crawford and Shirley E. (Coutts) Crawford, Sue graduated from Colonie Central High School in 1968 and Albany Business College and began in 1970. She was employed by the State of New York for over 30 years, retiring from the Department of Corrections. She was an avid union member and served as a CSEA Chapter President for many years. She also worked part-time for Macy's.

Sue is survived by her beloved family and friends, including her sister, Linda Koenigsreuter, her brother-in-law, Norman, her nieces and their spouses, Melissa S. (Michael) Murphy, Jennifer L. (James) Cronin, her nephew and his spouse, Michael E. (Brennan) Koenigsreuter, her grand-nephews, Eric, Dylan and Jack, grand-nieces, Maggie, Hannah and Emily, several cousins and dear friends.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 4-6pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205. A memorial service will follow at 6pm. Interment will be private.
