ALBANY - Susan D. O'Neill, 59, a resident of Albany, NY
and formerly of Hyde Park, NY died Saturday June 14, 2014 at
St. Peter's Hospital after a brief illness.
Ms. O'Neill formerly worked for the Governor in the State Executive
Chamber, Albany NY as an executive secretary.
Sue was an active and devoted mother of two and took great pride
in raising her children. Sue considered her children her greatest
accomplishment. Sue was a beautiful soul who lived her life with
grace and a sense of humor. Sue loved sharing poetry and music
with her family. Sue particularly enjoyed in watching her children
perform on stage. She loved to watch movies with her children.
Sue also enjoyed traveling, theater, music, dancing, baking, gardening,
quilting, spending time with her children and visiting with family.
Born in Dayton, Ohio on November 11, 1954, she was the daughter
of the late Joseph F. P. O'Neill and Joan A. O'Neill who survives at home.
Sue was a graduate of Roosevelt High School, SUNY Oneonta and
SUNY Albany.
Sue is survived by two children whom she adored, Benedict Amendolara and
Kathryn Amendolara, children of Lou Amendolara; one brother, Kevin O'Neill and three sisters, Theresa O'Neill-Becker and her husband John Becker, Patricia Damis and Kathleen O'Neill-Becker and her husband David Becker; and nieces and nephews all of whom she loved very much.
Memorial calling hours will be from 4 to 7 PM, Wednesday, June 18, 2014
at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie, NY 12205.
A memorial service will be conducted at 6 PM during visitation.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, June 19, 2014
at St Agnes Cemetery, 48 Cemetery Ave, Albany NY 12204.
