Susan Iris Drobner

September 5, 1956 — March 22, 2023

Susan Drobner, 66, passed peacefully surrounded by family and friends on March 22, 2023.

Sue was predeceased by her parents and is survived by her four Sanderson sisters: Joan (Victor) Jurevis, Nancy (Joe) Cashman, Doris (Peter) Hallock, and Marie (Rick) Bryne. She is also survived by nephews Victor Jurevis, Eric Hallock and Ryan Bryne; nieces Adrienne Morgalis, Victoria Cashman, Rachel Hallock, and Alexis Cashman. She will be missed by her beloved cat Cosmo. She is reunited with her much loved pets - Tucker, Elvis, Max and Binx. Sue cherished her many lifelong friendships including Mary Ellen Baker and Mary Teresa Cahill along with her neighbors Rob and Melanie Rowe.

She was born in Selkirk, attended Ravena-Coeymans- Selkirk and graduated from Maria College as an RN. Sue worked for over thirty years within The Birth Place at Albany Medical Center.

Sue loved to travel throughout New England, especially Cape Cod and Maine. She always looked forward to summer, entertaining friends and family by her pool. You could find her on warm mornings enjoying her beverage of choice on her screened porch.

Visitation hours will be from 2:00pm - 4:00pm at the Cyprus Shrine Temple, 9 Frontage Rd., Glenmont NY 12077, on March 31, 2023. A service will follow.

The family wishes to thank the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital as well as the Cardio-Thoracic, Oncology, Pulmonology and Endocrinology groups.

A special thank you to M.T. for her unwavering care, love, and support for Sue during her illness.

Sue would appreciate donations being made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, mohawkhumane.org in lieu of flowers.
