Susan E. Boncaro

COLONIE - Susan E. Boncaro, 73 of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 19, 2008 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Saranac Lake and was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Hilda Brown Purpura.
Susan was a lifelong resident of the Albany area. She was a wonderful and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be remembered for her unconditional love and concern for her family and friends. Sue was always giving of herself and made countless sacrifices to help others. She enjoyed inviting her neighbors and friends to share in many gatherings and parties. Sue was also a shopping enthusiast.
She is the beloved wife of 51 years to John G. Boncaro. She is the devoted mother of Paul (Denise) Boncaro, Debbie (Bill) Burke, David (Rebecca) Boncaro, Nancy (Dan) Tetreault, and Anthony (Terri) Boncaro. She is the sister of Elva (Bill) Ferris and Nina Mulhern (late Frank) and the late Elsie (Otha) Baker and Lawrence Purpura. She is the cherished grandmother of Dustin, Andrew, Danielle, Jennifer, Brian, Katelyn, Valerie, Melanie, Kevin and Randy. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 9:30 at Newcomer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association 440, New Karner Rd. Albany NY 12205 in memory of Susan E. Boncaro.
