Susan Ruth Kenneally, 74, beloved by so many, was welcomed into God's loving arms on January 1, 2022. She was born in Albany on February 1, 1947 to the late Charles and Jane Hill.
Susan was born with a gift from God to connect with people, this was an asset during her career as a social worker. She worked for many years at Marillac Shelter in Albany after earning her degree in Human Services. She loved people and they loved her. Susan was rewarded with deep relationships and an abundance of love. She was always surrounded by her family and a family of friends – the kind of family and friends who drop everything to help each other. She celebrated her families and friends' successes as if they were her own.
She had a great sense of humor and was always quick with a joke. Susan loved music and wasn't embarrassed to play Bruce Springsteen, Jackson Browne, and others on repeat. She loved her grandchildren with all her heart and loved laughing and playing with them. She was a beautiful soul, and her soul lives on in each of her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her true love Colin Kenneally, brother Charles Hill, sisters Beverly Olander and Patricia Hansen and her niece Dale Coronato
Susan is survived by her loving sons, John (Debbie), Eric (Tracie), Patrick, Christopher, and Kyle (Michelle) McCarthy, grandchildren Hayden and Madison, Emma, Miles, Toulouse, Kahlo, Keller, Sophia and Isla, stepchildren Colin, Sean, Joseph and Heather, siblings Mary Walczyk, Nancy Hill, John (Debbie) Hill, Dwight (Diane) Hill and Ella Rozonewski as well as a host of nieces and nephews, and more faithful friends than most people would be able to make in multiple lifetimes.
