Susan M. Guillaume

COLONIE – Susan M. Guillaume, 65, passed away on Sunday, June 22 2014 at her home, with her loving husband at her side.

Susan was born on June 16, 1949 in Albany and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Aletta (Caird) Berghela. Susan graduated from Colonie Central High School where she met her husband. She worked at Grandma's Pie Shop in Colonie for several years before she received her associate's degree from Maria College and worked as a physical therapist assistant for Cerebral Palsy Center, St. Margaret's House and Home for Babies and Community Health Plan. She loved the ocean and spending time with her family.

Susan is survived by loving and devoted husband of 47 years, Robert Guillaume; her loving daughter, Amy (Guillaume) Conway and her cherished granddaughter, Emily Rose Conway both of Averill Park; her brother, David Berghela; several nieces and nephews and her feline companion, Spot.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Friday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Memory Gardens in Colonie.
