Susan M. Newberry

GLENMONT, NY – Susan Margaret (Brine) Newberry, 60, passed away suddenly with her husband, Robert A. Newberry on Friday, February 22, 2008 at their home. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Grace Brine. She lived in the Albany area for all of her life. Mrs. Newberry worked as a nurse for the Visiting Nurse Association in Albany until the time of her death. Sue was the beloved wife of 20 years to Robert A. Newberry. She is the devoted mother of Grace M. Alexander. She is the step-mother of Christine M. (Mark Sr.) Houck, Kimberly A. (Greg) Spath, Robert J. Newberry and Michael P. Newberry. She is the cherished grandmother of Kyle, Jaime and Aaron Alexander, Mark Houck, Jr., Amanda Houck, Andrew Monroe and Taylor, Cameron and Alexandra Newberry. She is the sister of Barbara (Monk) Hartling, Lorna (Mac) McCartan, Jack (Emma) Schraeder, Joan (Donald) Moore and James Brine. Also surviving is her beloved best friend, Barbara Demase.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Funeral services will be Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be sent to the Bethlehem Volunteer Ambulance Service, P.O. Box 246, Selkirk, NY 12158.
