Suzanne Dibernardo

COLONIE – Suzanne Reilly DiBernardo, 78, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Suzanne was born on August 26, 1934 in Albany to the late Anne McCarthy and Captain John J. Reilly, Sr. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, George DiBernardo, Sr.; her best friend and love of her life.

Suzanne was a loving and devoted mother of Linda DiBernardo, Mark and Susan DiBernardo, Gina and Jon Sherman, and George and Karin DiBernardo, Jr.; grandchildren Becky Ryder, Steevi Rutella, Erica and Emily Sherman, Julia, Chelsea and Michael DiBernardo, Annah and Sarah DiBernardo, and Alexis DiBernardo; sister Marie Harriott of Charlottesville, VA; brother James V. Reilly of Guilderland; sister-in-law Helen Reilly of Colonie, and many nieces and nephews.

Suzanne was also predeceased by her brother John J. Reilly, Jr., of Albany.
The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. and Mrs. Theodore Zeltner and the staff at Albany Memorial Hospital.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 am at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Road, Loudonville. A calling hour will precede the Mass from 9:00 to 10:00 am at the church. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. In place of flowers, donations may be made to The Hospice Program at Albany Memorial Hospital, C/O Community Hospice of Rensselaer, 295 Valley View Boulevard, Rensselaer, NY 12144 in Suzanne's name.
