Guilderland~
Terence E. Vickers, 64, of Guilderland, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital, with his loving family by his side. Born in Albany on November 12, 1954, Terence was the son of the late Edwin and Marjorie (Shields) Vickers. He was the devoted husband and high school sweetheart of Geraldine "Gerry" (Weber) Vickers. They were married for 32 of the 46 years they were together.
Terence was a lifelong resident of the Albany area and a graduate of Vincentian Institute class of 1972.
"Ter" was a passionate musician; excelling at guitar and drums, and was also a singer. But most of all, he was a wonderful stay-at-home husband, father and mentor. His other hobbies and interests included fishing and baseball; he was an avid Yankee fan. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his wife and family. He will be lovingly remembered for his humor, intelligence, his "heart of gold," and his presence as a devoted brother and uncle to his siblings and their children.
Terence is survived by his wife Geraldine "Gerry" Vickers, his sons Joshua and Jared Vickers, his sisters Joan (Glenn) Viele, Jane Vet and Lynn (Gerald) Applebee and his brother, Timothy (Colleen) Vickers. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins as well as his wife's extended family.
Besides his parents, Terence was predeceased by his brother Robert (Kelly) Vickers and his nephew, Brian Viele.
