COLONIE – Teresa O'Connell Wippich, 79, of Colonie, passed away on Saturday March 14, 2009 at Albany Medical Center Hospital after a long illness.
She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late William and Mary O'Connell. Teresa enjoyed working with flowers and gardening.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, William E. Wippich. She is the devoted mother of Bill (Cheryl) Wippich, Tom Wippich, Bob (Eileen) Wippich and Kevin (Patty) Wippich. Teresa is the sister of Irene (Ray) Mangan and the late Dottie Mangan. She is the cherished grandmother of Brynn (Shawn) Patterson, Erin, Allyn-Ann, Jessie, Billy and Meghan Wippich. Great grandmother of Gianna Patterson.
Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 9:15 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave) then to Our Lady of Mercy Church, Wilson Ave Colonie at 10:00 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
