Teresa M. Zakutny
October 5, 1947 — June 9, 2023
GUILDERLAND – Teresa M. Zakutny, affectionately known as "Terry," 75, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 9, 2023.
She was born in Albany, daughter to the late Warren and Mary (Pietrzak) Holdridge. She attended St. Casimir's School and graduated from Mercy High School.
Teresa was employed for many years with the New York State Education Department and retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Albany, having worked at the Terminal Annex and New Scotland Avenue locations.
She was predeceased by her husband, John "Jack" in 1999 and two brothers, Edward and Warren Holdridge.
Teresa is survived by her sister, Joanne (David) Stammel; her brother, Donald (Elaine) Holdridge; her niece and Goddaughter, Kelly (Sean) Johnston and niece Rhonda (Lloyd) Hinnant.
She loved completing Word Search puzzles, watching soap operas, and attending monthly luncheons with her classmates from Mercy.
Calling hours will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 am on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at All Saints Catholic Church, 16 Homestead St., Albany, NY 12203. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, 1389 Central Avenue, Colonie.
