ALBANY-Teri Lynn Wilmot, 47, passed peacefully, at home, surrounded by her family, after a difficult battle with lung cancer. She was born in Rochester, NY the daughter of Sandra (O'Shea) Wilmot and the late George Wilmot. She was a graduate of South Colonie Central High School Class of 1984 and earned her Associate's Degree in Business Administration in 1986.Teri was currently employed as a Project Manager for Kaiser Permanente for 18 years. She was a CPC-A - Certified Professional Coder from AAPC (American Academy of Professional Coders) and a Certified Tax Preparer. Teri was an avid Geocacher, founding team Geo_Girlz, who has logged over 500 caches in two years, across five states and two countries. She was also a self-taught candle maker, who enjoyed making candles for family and friends. Teri's other interests included reading and dirt car racing.
Teri was a devoted and loving Daughter and Sister who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a generous, kind and loyal friend who was always there when you needed a helping hand.
In addition to her mother, Teri is survived by her sister Lori Wilmot (Craig Buonora); her cousins Diane Gulliver and David Gulliver; Gene Gulliver and Family and her loving dog Jasper.
In addition to her father, Teri was predeceased by her grandparents Jack and Mona O'Shea and George and Marie Wilmot and by her aunt/uncle John and Florence Gulliver.
Memorial calling hours will be held from 2 to 5 PM on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Teri.
