LOUDONVILLE – Thelma Elston, 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at her home.
Thelma was born on June 5, 1927 in East Greenbush and was the daughter of the late Fred and Katharine (Clark) Geraldsen. She was a member and former officer of the Latham Circle Squares and a member of the Colonie Art League and the Loudonville Presbyterian Church.
Thelma is survived by her daughter, Amy K. (Leon) Burroughs of Canterbury, CT; her son, Robert C. Elston of Albany; her grandchildren, CJ, Kyle and Kristen Burroughs; her sister, Lillian Sigsby; her brothers, Arnold (Shirley) Geraldsen, Arthur Geraldsen and Orion (Alma) Geraldsen; her nieces and nephews, Jay Elston, Scott Elston, Victoria Mobberly and Honora Johnston. She was predeceased by her husband of 37 years, Clair H. Elston, he passed away on May 8, 1998 and her sisters, Esther Wagner and Phyllis Geraldsen.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Loudonville Presbyterian Church, 22 Old Niskayuna Road, Loudonville. Interment will follow at Albany Rural Cemetery in Menands. Calling hours will be held at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
