Thelma M. Paige, 78, of Rotterdam, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2015. Mrs. Paige succumbed to a short illness, after spending a lovely Sunday afternoon surrounded by her beloved husband of 61 years and her loving family. Thelma was the beloved wife of Donald Paige.
Although she worked at St Clare's Hospital for several years, her career was being a wife and a mother to her seven children.
In addition to her husband Donald, Thelma is survived by her children: Patricia (David) Quivey, Diana (Richard) Gorman, Debbi (Randy) Fry, Tracy (Noe) Boilard, Edward (Anna) Paige, Audrey Wagner, and Donald (Kimberly) Paige Jr. She is survived by her twenty-one grandchildren: Jeffrey (Tiffany) and Megan (Ross Jordan) Quivey; Heather (Andrew) Griffin; Christopher and Shannon Gorman; Wendy, Ron, Melissa and Randy (Crystal) Fry; Philip, Pauline and Noe Boilard; Jennifer Gauvreau; Hilary Paige; Steven Wagner; Kelly (Chris) Livingston; Kevin Paige; Karen (Kurt) Schrader; Leah, Colin, and Stephen Ketchen; and 19 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers: Richard and Sidney Oddy and her sisters: Retha Brassard, Leona Brush, Martha Ervolino, and Irma Galick.
Thelma was predeceased by her parents John and Marion (Priddle) Oddy; her brother John Oddy; her sisters Alice Schultz, Lorraine Mahoney, and Dorothy Galick; and her granddaughter Kayla Paige.
In addition to her family, Thelma enjoyed gardening, baking, going to the racino and her pets; most recently Princess, Midnight and Max.
There will be no funeral or burial services. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her name to the Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Avenue, Scotia, NY 12302.
The family also wishes to thank the staff at Ellis Hospital for their care and kindness during her brief stay at the hospital.
