Theodora (Teddy) Harms, 96, widow of Donald L. Harms, passed to her reward from Schenectady Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing.
A longtime resident of Rotterdam, Teddy serviced in the Schenectady USO during the end of WWII, graduated from business school, and worked at General Electric for a time, where she met her future husband.
Teddy was an active member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Schenectady and sang in the choir. She was a member of the Mohonasen PTA and enjoyed bowling and traveling with her family, keeping studious diaries of all the family trips. Teddy enjoyed being around people and was very cordial and hospitable to all she met. Teddy also loved animals and was a friend to all the dogs, cats and birds in her neighborhood.
Teddy is survived by her sons Randall, 66, of Selkirk, Eric, 69 of Brevard County Florida, two granddaughters and five great grandchildren, also of Brevard County Florida.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday October 13 at 10am at Evergreen Memorial Park, Schenectady where she will be interred next to her husband.
