COLONIE – Theodore F. DeLucia, Sr., 81, of Colonie, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Susquehenna, PA, he was the son of the late Christopher and Aurelia DeLucia. Ted was a resident of Colonie for thirty five years. Ted retired as an operating engineer for Union Local #106 after thirty five years of service. He enjoyed bowling in the Redwood Men's League and the Redwood Werthers League for many years and golfed on Wednesday evening with the "Hackers." Ted especially enjoyed hunting with his sons and his friends. Ted is the beloved husband of 57 years to Florence DeLucia. He is the devoted father of Chris DeLucia and his wife, Mary Ann and Ted DeLucia and his wife, Karen, all of Colonie. He is the loving brother of Margaret Micalizzi of Binghamton, NY and the late Clara, Salvatore, Frank, Scott, Philomena, Angie, Violet, Ada and Madeline. Also surviving are four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ted's caregivers, Elaina and Ivy, also the staff of Community Hospice and especially his sister-in-law, Minnie Ciccone for her total support and commitment to Ted and his family.
Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 10:15 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt 155-south of Central Ave.) then to St. Clare's Church at 11:00 a.m. where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
