ALBANY – Theodore J. Danz, 84, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday March, 30, 2011 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Theodore and Helen (Curry) Danz.
At 17, Theodore enlisted in the United States Navy. He served in WWII and the Korean War, and was honorably discharged. He retired from Freihofer's Bakery after 20+ years. He was a life member of the Polish American Citizens Club. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, bowling, and spending summers on Caroga Lake.
Ted is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Margaret M. Danz; his children and stepchildren, Theodore Danz II, Robert (Joanne) Majkut, Bryan (Pam) Danz, Greg Danz, Jane (Raymond) Manor, Linda (Robert) Manor, Vera Rusco, Michelle (Douglas) Smith, Walter (Diane) Senke; grandchildren, Teddy, Timmy, Todd, Kathleen, Carrie, Robert, Michael, Jason, Jennifer, Conner, Jane "Poopers", Amber, Chelsey, Monique, Ashley, Andrew, Jennifer and Brianna; several great-grandchildren; and brother-in-laws, Frances (JoAnne) Netzer, and James Netzer. His first wife, Lucille Brennan, also survives.
Ted was predeceased by his second wife, Jane Majkut.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany, on Tuesday at 10:30 am. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, Colonie. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
