Theodore J. Rucinski
April 16, 1926 — April 22, 2016
Ted Rucinski of Latham passed away at age 90 on April 22, 2016, after a brief stay at the Albany County Nursing Home.
Born on April 16, 1926, he was the son of the late Theodore and Alice Rucinski. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Guildea Rucinski, son Greg (Sue), brother Robert (Jean), and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother William.
Ted proudly served with the United States Army.
He was employed by New York State prior to his retirement in 1988.
Ted had a life-long love of the theater and was an actor, director, and make-up designer with many local theater groups including Latham Players, Triune Musical Theater, and more recently Schenectady Civic Players and Schenectady Light Opera Company. He had an extensive knowledge of the movies, was an avid reader, and was an excellent cook.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at New comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet Shaker Road, Latham. Entombment will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ted's memory to Schenectady Light Opera Company, P.O. Box 1006, Schenectady, NY 12301.
