Ted was born and raised in Schenectady. He retired from GE as a machinist after many years of service. Ted enjoyed Schenectady- Theodore S. Karis, Jr., 80, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017.
Ted was born and raised in Schenectady. He retired from GE as a machinist after many years of service. Ted enjoyed yardwork and tending his flowers and was able to work part-time as a landscaper for several years. He loved dogs, especially Stosh and Abby.
Ted is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Joann M. Karis; his children, Ted Karis (Beth) and Linda Parker (Danny); step-children, Scott Dillenbeck (Heather) and John Dillenbeck; grandchildren, Jessica, Brian, Erick, Courtney, Taylor, Kasey, and Leah; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Richard Karis (Judy).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ted's memory to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, P.O. Box 4527, New York, NY 10163.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
