Theodore "Ted"J. Holmes

GUILDERLAND - Theodore "Ted" J. Holmes, 50, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Ted was born on September 3, 1961 in Albany and is the beloved son of Theodore A. and Patricia R. (O'Connor) Holmes of Colonie. He was raised and educated in Colonie and graduated from Schenectady County Community College.
Ted was the director of sales and marketing for Wolters Kluwer in Colonie and previously at Intercounty Clearance Corp. He also enjoyed his time with friends at Across the Street Pub in Albany. He was an avid boater, an avid Yankees fan, and enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved going to Lake George and Venice, Florida where he enjoyed going to Sharky's on the Pier. He was "the life of the party" and never met a stranger.
In addition to his mother and father, Ted is survived by his soulmate and spouse, Sheldon R. Collins; his dear friend, Natalie (Campolungo) Holmes of Guilderland; his loving daughters, Ashley and Briana Holmes both of Albany; his sister, Anita E. (Mike) Jones of Wylie, TX; his brothers, Steve M. (Hali) Holmes of Niskayuna and Chris P. (Beth) Holmes of Easton, NY; his mother-in-law, Mary Collins of Canajoharie and several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express sincere thanks to the staff of Community Hospice of Albany for the compassionate and loving care given to Ted.
A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
