Theresa Bernard

SCOTIA-Theresa A. Bernard, 59 went to join her family and dear friends in heaven on Sunday, July 14, 2013. She was born in Albany, NY the daughter of the late James and Shirley (Young) Fake. Theresa attended St. Luke's Elementary School in Schenectady and graduated from Notre Dame High School in Schenectady. She received her LPN from Mary McClellan Hospital in Cambridge, NY and her RN from Maria College in Albany. Theresa was employed by various agencies and most recently worked for the Medicaid Office for the Inspector General as an RN. She was an avid Beatles fan, who adored John Lennon. Theresa enjoyed attending Beatle fest and dancing. She loved her family, friends, and animals of all kinds. She especially loved spending time with her beloved grandchildren.
Theresa is survived by her beloved husband of 5 years Jerry J. Bernard; her loving children Melissa (Larry) Guidetti, Shawn (Alexandra) Warrick, Theresa (Tony) Warrick, Samantha (David) Petrie, Rollin (Amanda) Earls and Jeffrey Steele and several grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Vicki McCarthy, Jim (Anna) Fake, Deborah (Larry) Downing and Jeffrey (Kelly) Fake and by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Theresa was predeceased by a son Michael Warrick, 2 grandchildren Derah Warrick and Mallory Warrick and by a brother Raymond Fake.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Friday, July 19, 2013 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 AM on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at St. Paul the Apostle Church, Albany St. Schenectady.
Interment will be at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
