COLONIE- Theresa Capuano Cioppa, 100, of Colonie, entered into eternal rest on Thursday May 24, 2007. She was predeceased by her husband Antimo Cioppa.
Born in Green Island, August 27, 1906, she is the daughter of the late Pellegrina Asiolo and Antonio Capuano. Theresa moved to Latham in 1945 and Colonie in 1982. She was a seamstress for the former Marshall Ray Company in Troy, retiring in 1971.
Theresa is the mother of Marianne (Carl) Larson of Hickory, NC., Rev. John Cioppa, Maryknoll Missioner of Hong Kong and Joanne (Wesley) Cobart of Colonie. She is the grandmother of Peter Larson, Beth Crisp, Robert, Timothy and Mark Larson, Caroline McLennan, Stephanie Paone and Gregory Cobart. She was predeceased by her brothers, Xavier and John Capuano and her sister Jeanette Korka.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of the Resurrection at the Infant of Prague Chapel at the Teresian House, 200 Washington Ave Ext. Albany on Tuesday May 29, 2007 at 11:00 am. Calling hours will be Monday from 5 to 8 pm at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie ( Rt. 155- south of Central Ave). Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy.
