Theresa Dott

Theresa Rose Dott, 91, of Albany, passed away on July 11, 2024 at St. Peter's Hospice. She passed on her favorite day of the year, opening day at Saratoga.

She was born in Albany to the late Martin and Lucy (Rendine) Dilwith.

Terry was an excellent cook, her specialty was her lasagna, which was always served at open house on Christmas Eve for family and friends. She loved going to the Saratoga Race Track and playing bingo. She also enjoyed traveling, notably Hawaii and several trips overseas. She was a proud mom and loved animals, especially her dogs and bunnies outside.

In addition she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Zaloga Post #1520. Terry was a member of the Albany and Colonie Democratic committee for over 30 years serving as a committee person.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 68 years, Thomas Dott, infant daughter Elizabeth Marie, siblings James, Louis, Mary and Joseph.

Terry is survived by her daughter Cynthia (Cindy) Dott, sister in law Emily Dott, brother in law Leo Dott (Nancy) as well as many nieces and nephews and her granddog Kona Aloha.

Thank you to the staff at Shaker Place, St. Peter's Nursing and Rehab and Community Hospice for their compassion and care of Terry.

Visitation will be held Monday July 15th from 4pm-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, Colonie, New York. A Mass will be held Tuesday July 16th at 10am at Christ Our Light Church 1 Maria Drive, Loudonville NY

Interment immediately following in the Our Lady of Angels Cemetery .
