Theresa Girzone
December 16, 1931 — May 26, 2022
Girzone, Theresa(Nuni) , 90 of Guilderland, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2022. She was born in Albany to the late Grace (DiPierro) and Pasquale Girzone. Theresa is predeceased by her sister Anna Iabone Spano and niece Laura (Iabone) Endres.
She is survived by her nephew Anthony Iabone, nieces Madelyn Gallucci and Kim Mosier, and seven great nieces and nephews.
Theresa was a lifelong resident of the Town of Guilderland and was active member of the community. She worked at the DMV until her retirement at age 55 and was a lifetime supporter of various charities, including St. Jude's Hospital, ASPCA, Shriners Hospital, Community Caregivers, Friends of Animals. In her free time, Theresa enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting and watching sports.
Her generous and giving spirit will be remembered fondly by her family and friends. Special thank you to the Senior Center at Guilderland and her friends in Building 5 for taking such good care of her in her later years.
A Funeral Mass will be held on June 10th at 10am at Christ the King Church. Private burial services will be held following.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude's Hospital.
