RENSSELAER – Theresa R. Haber, 77, of Rensselaer, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2005, after a long illness. Born in Moores Forks, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Clara LaValley. Mrs. Haber was an Albany resident for most of her life. She worked as a nurse's aide at the Albany County Nursing Home for 10 years. More recently, she worked at University Heights Nursing Home from where she retired in 1990. Theresa was the beloved wife of the late Robert Haber. She is the devoted mother of Judith Rowlands of Watervliet and Sharon Charland and her husband, Roy of Rensselaer. She is the sister of Lorraine Seeberger of Schodack and the late Myrtle Meseck, Ethel Pickett, Joyce Benedict and Theresa Gooley. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) then to St. James Church at 9:00 a.m. where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery, Glenmont. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Rensselaer, 295 Valley View Boulevard, Rensselaer, NY 12144 in memory of Theresa R. Haber.
