Theresa Jefferson

Theresa Jefferson , 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 3, 2024. Born in Albany, NY on August 1, 1937, Theresa was the oldest child to Vincent and Angeline Salvagio.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She worked for Albany County DSS for 30 years, retiring from the Medicaid department. Theresa’s family was everything to her. She loved cooking and baking for them. She enjoyed the holidays and daily game shows. Theresa especially enjoyed her time glamping at Alpine Lake.

Theresa was predeceased by her loving husband, Robert Jefferson of 57 years.She is also predeceased by her parents Vincent and Angeline Salvagio and son-in-law, David Mariani

She was a devoted mother to Angela Mariani, dedicated grandmother (Mema) to Bobby Mariani and her grandpuppy, Oscar. Theresa is survived by her siblings Marge (Jack) Daniels, Vince (Lou) Salvagio , and Frank ( Lois) Salvagio as well as several nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandniece, and cousins.

A special thank you to St. Peter’s Hospital and their phenomenal nurses and staff. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Heart or American Diabetes Association.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 14th from 9am-11am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals 343 New Karner Rd Colonie NY. A Mass will follow at Noon at Blessed Sacrament Church 607 Central Ave, Albany, NY 12206.
