Theresa M. Sickles, 92, passed away on July 28, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Cohoes on July 19, 1926, Theresa was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Marie Rose (Lanoue) Grignon.

She was the devoted wife to the late Gilbert W. Sickles, Sr. They were married for 64 wonderful years until his passing in 2011.

Loving mother of Dawn (Stephan) Valk, James (Emily) Sickles, Sr., Lissa (Michael) Kaminski, Gilbert W. Sickles, Jr., Holly (Michael) Marsh and Renee (the late Paul) Connell. Cherished grandmother of Matthew and Jeffrey Valk, Jessica, James, Justin and MaryGrace Sickles, Kristin Tripp, Michael T. and Joseph Marsh, Rachael San Pietro, Ryan and Casey Connell and great grandmother to Evan Sickles, Michael C. and Trinity Marsh, and Kadence Tripp, also her very best friend, Rosemary Snyder.

Besides her parents, Theresa was predeceased by her siblings; Wilfred, Jr., Annette, George, Charlotte, Claire and Paul.

Theresa worked as a seamstress for Barkley Home, Inc. in Cohoes until 1953 when she and her husband started their family.
She enjoyed camping, sewing, cooking and most of all traveling and cruising with her family and friends. During their retired years, Theresa and her husband enjoyed spending the winter months in FL.

Relatives and friends may call 4-7 pm on Thursday, August 2, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet.

Committal Prayers will be offered at 10:30 am by Reverend Stephan Valk on Friday, August 3, at the Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. Please assemble in the funeral home parking lot at 9:00 am to join the cortège.
