Therese R. Dansereau

Therese Rita Dansereau, 91, of Loudonville, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Alexandrine and Joseph Blanchard.

Therese grew up in Claremont, NH. She attended the Elliot School of Nursing in Manchester, NH, and greatly enjoyed being a RN. On June 27, 1953 she married the love of her life, Raymond, and they worked as a team to raise six children.

The family lived in Guilderland, where Therese was an active volunteer at Christ the King church and was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She enjoyed church events, and spending time with her circle of friends.

Therese's life was centered around her family. She was a multi-tasking dynamo with incredible organizational skills. Therese enjoyed her childrens' school events, and put a lot of miles on that station wagon driving kids around. She liked to visit with people in the back yard on a nice day, and enjoyed watching the birds at the feeder. Therese liked to sew and was talented with crafts. Throughout her life she showed by example how to be kind and give to others.

In addition to her parents, and siblings Louise, Rachel, and Maurice, Therese is predeceased by her son Michael and daughter Cathy.

Therese is survived by her husband of 69 years, Raymond; son Robert (Colleen); daughter Nancy (Rick); daughter Mary (Mark); son John; grandchildren Sarah, Matthew, Michael, Max, and Lucas; and great-grandchildren Charlotte, Ethan, Emma, and Wesley.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 24, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A celebration of life will be Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at 11:00am at St Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Road Loudonville, NY 12211. Burial will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery.
