COLONIE – Thomas A. Bergeron, 85, passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2010 at Albany Memorial Hospital.
Tom was born on June 3, 1924 in Schenectady and was the son of the Edward A. and Margaret (Roach) Bergeron. He was a graduate of St. Joseph's Academy.
Tom worked for several trucking companies in the area for over 35 years before retiring 20 years ago. He was a member of St. Clare's Church in Colonie and a former member of the Midway Fire Department.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Therese M. (Chamberland) Bergeron; his children, Edward Bergeron, CFC, Catherine A. (Robert) MacMillan and John T. (Cyndi) Bergeron; his grandchildren, Brian MacMillan, James (Kim) MacMillan and Taylor Bergeron; his great-granddaughters, Victoria and Isabella MacMillan; his sister, Sarah (Nick) Bonafide; his brother, Richard Bergeron and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Noreen Holcomb.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Clare's Church. Interment will follow at Memory's Garden. Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Clare's Church, 1947 Central Ave., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Thomas A. Bergeron.
