Schenectady-Thomas C. Cerniglia, 75, passed away on December 3rd, 2018 at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Tom was the son of the late Frank and Phyllis (Mayer) Cerniglia.

Thomas is survived by his wife Beatrice, whom he was married to for 55 beautiful years, and his brother Carl. He was the proud Father of Julie (Stan) Lence, Joe (Kelley) Cerniglia, Saundra (Chris) Krause, and Rick (Amanda) Cerniglia.

Tom was the Grandfather of Rebecca, Devin, Christopher, Kelsey, Jonathan, Tommy, and Alex, as well as Great Grandfather to Amariana.
Tom loved his family and friends and was dedicated to their happiness and wellbeing. He was often seen walking the neighborhood with his dog Thor, keeping it safe. He enjoyed exploring the outdoors and was a firearm enthusiast that enjoyed hunting, target shooting and was an advocate of firearm safety.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday December 8th, 2018 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie, NY from 9:30 – 11:30 AM with service to follow. Burial will follow the Service at Memory Gardens on Watervliet-Shaker Rd.
