Menands- Thomas Davis, 101, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2016 with his family at his side. Thomas was born in Franklin Virginia.
Thomas was a devoted family man to his daughter, Mildred Elliotte and his 5 grandchildren. He is also survived by his many great-grandchildren, great-great children, and great-great-great children as well as one brother.
Thomas was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 68 years, Ruth Davis, 7 siblings, and a granddaughter, Patricia Elliotte.
Thomas was a true patriarch and was a father figure to all. He proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Navy. He was a hard worker and was a truck driver, delivering coal and oil to many schools and hospitals for many years.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 11am-12pm at New Comer Funeral Home, Colonie. A going home service will follow at 12pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Albany Rural Cemetery.
