Thomas E. Cook, Iii

SCHENECTADY – Thomas E. Cook, III, 65, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2012 at Ellis Hospital after a long illness. Born in Schenectady, he was the son of the late Thomas E. Cook, II and Marion Cook.

Tom worked for the United States Postal Service for 22 years. In his free time, he enjoyed sailing, camping, woodworking and travel.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Katherine; children Cassandra, Ursula, Alexandria and Jonathan of Schenectady; brother David Cook; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Avenue, Scotia, NY 12302 in Tom's name.
