Thomas E. Lamont

Thomas E. LaMont, 59, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. Tom was born in Albany to the late John and Helen LaMont. Tom graduated from Vincentian Institute in 1969; he also was a volunteer fireman with the Fuller Road Fire Department. Tom was a devoted employee for Turf Hotels for many years but recently his passion was spending time with his family. In addition to his parents Tom was predeceased by his brother, Alan LaMont.
Tom is survived by his loving wife, Lyda LaMont; his son, Thomas J. LaMont; his grandson, Carson LaMont. He is the brother of; Mary LaMont-Calsolaro (Dominick), William (Roxane) LaMont, Dennis LaMont and John LaMont. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be Monday at 10:00 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will be Sunday from 3 to 6 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands.
