ALTAMONT – Thomas F. Arcolano, 79, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Guilderland Center Nursing Home, surrounded by his loving family.
Thomas was born on February 8, 1933 in Albany and was the son of the late Frank and Ruth (Bullard) Arcolano. He retired from both Altec in Watervliet and from Albany County Highway Department. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a founding member of the Helderberg Bassmasters and a member of the Voorheesville Rod and Gun Club.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Elizabeth A. (Herbst) Arcolano; his loving children, Frank (Colleen) Arcolano of Altamont, Mary (Mike) Golden of East Berne, and Lisa (Ed) Maynard of Scotia; his cherished grandchildren, Nicholas (Joy) Arcolano, Kelly (Brian) Spence, Beth (Mo) Golden, Tara Golden, Matt Golden, Amber Maynard, and Brooke Maynard; his cherished great grandchildren, Maxwell, Geneva, Brewer, Tyler, Christian, and Mason; his brother, Charles (Bess) Arcolano and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Antoinette Mosley and his brother, George Arcolano.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 7, 2013 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
