Thomas F. Kozakiewicz, 85, passed away Thursday January 22, 2009 at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home after a short illness.
Thomas was Born in Albany on April 14, 1923 a son to the late Andrew and Katherine (Gaska) Kozakiewicz. He graduated from Albany Business College and served in the US Army Air Corps during WW II as a navigator. Tom worked for Phil Englebardt's liquor store, McNearney Distributors and Keis Distributors. His true passion was playing golf and was a regular at the old Stanford Golf Course and more recently at Stadium Golf Course.
He is survived by his son Alan of Niskayuna and daughter Mary Ann Croteau of Leesburg, VA, six grandchildren, one great-grandchild and his sister Florence of Albany. He was predeceased by his brothers; Steven, Frank and Joseph and sister Frances.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday 12:00noon at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Monday 5:00 to 7:00pm at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155 south of Central Ave.).
