Thomas Gizzi
July 17, 1956 — January 7, 2015
Colonie- Thomas "Salami" Gizzi, 58, passed away suddenly, January 7th 2015. Thomas is the son of Michael Sr. and the late Claire Gizzi. Thomas was the devoted husband of Carol Gizzi.
Thomas was the father of; Samara (Tobias), Stacey (Brian), Andrew (Rachel) and the grandfather to; London Grace. Thomas is also survived by his siblings; Michael Jr, Lisa (Jimmy Knighton), George and Brian (Colleen), and a host of close relatives and friends.
In addition to his mother Claire, Thomas is predeceased by his brothers; Anthony and Stephen Gizzi.
Thomas' "Salami" passions in life were being on the road transporting cars throughout the East Coast, horse racing and Pink Floyd. Throughout his travels he made numerous lifelong friends. Thomas had a unique sense of humor that will keep us laughing for years to come.
Calling hours will be held Sunday, January 11th 2015 from 4pm-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205. A mass will be held Monday, January 12th at St. Pius X, 23 Crumitie Road, in Loudonville at 9:30am.
After mass the family will be gathering at the Midway Fire Department Station 1, 1956 Central Ave, Albany NY 12205.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Education Fund for London Grace Pennick at any Pioneer Savings Bank.
