Thomas F. Guilianelli

August 19, 1959 — February 18, 2024

Thomas F. Guilianelli entered into eternal sleep on Sunday, February 18, 2024 after a brief illness.

He was born August 19, 1959 to the late Rocco and Elizabeth (Bohl) Guilianelli. Tom grew up in Schodack, NY and spent his adult years residing in East Greenbush, NY.

He had a love for anything with an engine and tires from an early age. His younger years were spent racing dirt bikes and spending time on Webbs Farm. He went on to build a race car with his buddy. A 1969 Camero they named Wild Cherry. In later years, he led a simple life. Enjoying being at home watching Nascar, NHRA, and football, being with his cat companion, Clyde. You could also catch him drinking beers with the guys either in the garage or out by the fire pit, grilling up some good food. He spent most Holiday's with Kaylla and Joe at Denise's house, always reserving Christmas Eve for the Quay side of his family.

He was a mechanic his whole work career, from being in business himself to working at Orange Motors in Albany for over 25 years as a heavy truck mechanic. Going to school and always getting the latest certifications, he was very good at what he did. He retired in 2013.

Tom had a special bond with his daughter. They shared joy in a 1994 Mustang GT that they bought together. Always looking for what part they would put on next to make it more eye catching or faster.

Probably the most satisfying moment in his life, is when he became a Grampie. He was very proud of his grandkids, Jaxson Thomas and Jamie Alexander. He loved them very much, and his face would light up talking about them.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Kaylla (Rob) Howard; brothers: Joe Guilianelli, Steve Quay, and Don (Diane) Quay; his grandchildren: Jaxson and Jamie Howard, and former wife, Denise Hanley. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Karen Guilianelli and his sister in law, Barbra Quay.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
.
A celebration of life will be planned in August for his birthday.
