Thomas I. Van Wie

Delanson- Thomas I. Van Wie , 62, passed away Monday, August 22, 2016.
Thomas was the son of the late John Van Wie and Elizabeth Van Wie.
Tom was a talented cook and an avid fan of the NY Jets and NY Mets. He enjoyed being outdoors, camping, bonfires and a "grill master". He will be dearly missed.
Tom is survived by his wife, Debbie Van Wie; his children, Thomas (Renee) Latimer, Richard Van Wie, David (Ashley) Van Wie and Megan Van Wie; grandson, Chase Van Wie; granddaughter, Lacey Latimer; brothers, John (Pat) Van Wie, Robert (Pierette) Van Wie; sisters, Carol (Jim) Chmielinski, Lynn (Ken) Gaidusek and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his brother William Van Wie.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, New York on Monday August 29, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A memorial service will follow at 7pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
