GUILDERLAND – Thomas A. Igoe, 82, of Guilderland, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2006, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Thomas J. and Elizabeth Igoe. Mr. Igoe was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving his country during World War II. He was a foreman for many years at Bryant Lumber in Colonie. Tom was a past commander of the American Legion Ambrose J. Scully Post #1019 and a member of the Sheehy-Palmer VFW Post #6776. He enjoyed boating, camping and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Tom is the beloved husband of 55 years to Bernardette Igoe. He is the devoted father of Michael (Arlea) Igoe of Guilderland, James Igoe of San Diego, CA and Kathryn (David) Ruppel of Clifton Park. He is the brother of Donald (Carol) Igoe, Robert (Rosie) Igoe and the late Russell Igoe. He is the cherished grandfather of Michael, James, Zachary, Thomas and Emily. Also surviving are two great-grandchildren, his sister-in-law, Theresa Igoe and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday morning at 9:00 at Holy Family Parish, formerly St. Patrick's Church, 283 Central Ave., Albany. Calling hours will be Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd., Loudonville, NY 12211 in memory of Thomas A. Igoe.
