Thomas J.Martinez,Jr. "Marty"

ALBANY_ Thomas J. Martinez, Jr. (Marty) passed away on October 17, 2015. Tom was born in Albany and served in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era. He was a contractor, teacher and plumber who retired from Albany Medical Center in 2008. Tom was wildly in love with Sharon White of Elsmere, and was married to her for almost 50 years (49 years, 317 days).
He was predeceased by their daughters, Tonya Martinez Hilton of Scotia, Amy C. Martinez of Colonie.
He was survived by his amore Sharon; daughters Anda (Michael) Reinisch of Selkirk, Pepita (Thomas) Houck of Colonie; sister Lena Clark of Schenectady; grandchildren, Evan, Conor, Emma and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Tom will be remembered by his family and friends for his humor, compassion, random acts of kindness and his love for life.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 22 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY. Memorial Services will be private.
