Schenectady – Thomas J Walsh, 72, of Schenectady NY passed away surrounded by his loving wife and children on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at St. Peter's Hospital. Born in Schenectady, NY, he is survived by his wife of 49+ years, Sharon, his children Tom (Beth – fiancée), Kelly, Darren (Melissa – spouse), Jammie along with his grandchildren Kaitlyn and Luke and sister Sandra Scott of Vero Beach, FL.
He served in the U.S. Army as a medic and with the National Guard from 1962-1968. He began his career in x-ray at Memorial Hospital before moving on to Latham Medical Group in x-ray and became business manager. He then moved on to St. Clare's/Ellis Hospital working in x-ray and MRI for 40+ years before retiring.
His hobbies included classic cars, traveling, baseball, movies and spending time with his family. He will always be remembered by his ability to make people laugh and feel comfortable. He was always a gentle, kind loving husband, father, grandfather (papa) who always put family first. He was always quick with his wit and a joke even to the bitter end. Happy Birthday Dad. WE WILL MISS YOU!
