Thomas M. Doyle, Sr.

CLIFTON PARK, NY – Thomas M. Doyle, Sr., 64, passed away on December 10, 2009, surrounded by his loving family. Tom was a treasured son, father, brother, Popi and friend. He was born in Troy and grew up in Albany where he attended Albany public schools and proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He was immensely proud of his son and daughter and adored his three grandchildren. Tom was a well-known and popular bartender, having worked for over 45 years in the restaurant business, almost twenty of those years at D'Raymonds Restaurant. Tom also worked as La Salle School in Albany. He was a passionate golfer and filled his last months with countless rounds of golf and many happy times. Tom will be greatly missed, but always remembered by his family, friends and the many people whom he touched during his lifetime. Survivors include his beloved mother Ellen; son, Thomas M. (Kim) Doyle, Jr. of Burlington, VT and daughter, Tierney Doyle (Rich) Provost of Clifton Park; cherished grandchildren, Ella Doyle and Aiden and Addison Provost. Also survived by sisters-in-law Effie Doyle and Davia Hansen, many cherished nephews, nieces, cousins and dear family friends of the Arduini, Chiarmonte, Dack and Sabatino families. Tom was predeceased by his father Charles and brothers Jim and John. Tom's family would like to extend special thanks to the compassionate staff at St. Peter's Hospice Inn as well as the caring doctors and nurses of NYOH and the Albany GI group.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Edward the Confessor Church, Clifton Park. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (RT. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in the Gerald B. H.
