SARATOGA SPRINGS-- Thomas Marcil, 67, passed away on December 29, 2017, at Mary's Haven Hospice House in Saratoga Springs.
He was born on March 9, 1950, son of the late Edmund Marcil and Catherine Purificato Marcil.
He spent much of his youth in Troy, attending LaSalle Institute and later Fordham University. He was an avid reader and New England sports fan, following the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots through most of his life.
He is survived by his loving wife, Christine (Farnan) Marcil; sons, Jonathan (Anna) Marcil and Matthew Marcil; and granddaughter, Mia Marcil. He is also survived by brothers, David, Ned, Charles, Stephen; and sisters, Kit, Charlene, and Pam, as well as many extended family members in the Troy and Pittsfield, Mass. areas.
The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to Saratoga Hospice for all their care and support through his illness.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 5, from 9 - 11 a.m. in St. Edward the Confessor Church in Clifton Park. A Mass will immediately follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be private.
