Thomas Novotny

ALBANY- Thomas J. Novotny, 86, of Glenmont, died Tuesday December 6, 2005 surrounded by his family. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Thomas F. and Josephine Lumley Novotny. He is the husband of the late Sara Jones Novotny and brother of the late Winifred Snyder, Dorothy Peterson and William Novotny.
Thomas worked and retired from Simmons Machine & Tool in Menands. He is best remembered by his family and friends as a man that enjoyed his home on the Hudson River along with his canine friends and visits by all who knew him. He is the beloved father of Tom (Lou Ann) Novotny, Brian (Donna) Novotny of Albany and Carol (Paul) Fenton of Baldwinsville, NY. Grandfather of Steven ( Nancy) Novotny, Daniel Novotny, Sara (Ross) Fabregas, Michael Fenton, Jeanine Fenton, Terry ( Jade) Fenton, Matthew Novotny and Kristen Bencze. Great grandfather of Jared & Michael Novotny. Uncle of Eileen Judd, Michael Peterson, John and George Snyder. Thomas outlived most of his buddies, but special remembrance is taken to his close friend, Jimmy (Yvonne) Dollar and their four daughters. He is also survived by his former wife, Jane Novotny.

Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 10:00 at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). A calling hour will precede the service from 9 to 10 am at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
