Thomas Pope III, beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend was called to his eternal rest on April 29th, 2024. He was born on October 29th, 1985 in Honolulu, Hawaii to parents Mr. Thomas & June Pope.
At a young age he and his family moved to Troy, NY, where he formed strong bonds with his close friends, creating a brotherhood that lasted a lifetime. His education came from the Troy City School District, and he was an alumnus of Troy High School.
Man-Man was very athletic. He played basketball, baseball and was acrobatic. He also had artistic talent. He liked to draw, write music and make beats. He had a gift of putting a smile on your face by joking. And don't forget he thought he could sing.
Man-Man had various ways of making money. Some jobs included construction for the state and janitorial service for RPI. He had dreams of pursuing culinary art and becoming an entrepreneur.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Thomas and June Pope, his wife, Shanice, his children, Mase'ion and Paris, his three sisters, Crystal, Shana & Nasha (Michael), his grandmother, Mary Carter, his god-mother, Andrea Skinner and god-sisters, Johnella & Jeanae Skinner, his god-brothers, Rabbi Johnathan and Bishop Jarius. Very special friends, Lynn Mosley, Shaquaya Lacy, Lamarenra Earle as well as a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Great-Nieces, Nephews and Great Nephew.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday May 7, 2024 from 10am-12pm with a service starting at 12pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery.
