Thomas A. Roop, 76, of Pittsburgh Pa, passed away Friday May 19th, 2023 at the Columbia Memorial Hospital.
Born on December 16th, 1946 in Pittsburgh PA, a city he loved. He was the son of the late Edward and Edna Roop and Brother to his 8 siblings Jack, Edward, Ken, Laverne, Barbara, Darla, Beverly, and Sharon.
Thomas was a professor of respiratory therapy at the Alleghany Community College and a respiratory therapist in the emergency room of UPMC.
He was a published author and a professional speaker for the healthcare speech organization. He also worked as an abroad teacher in Sicily for the University of Pittsburgh. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and was an avid Steeler fan.
He is survived by his daughter Darlene and his 4 grandchildren Aiden, Gianna, Layla, and Mia.
