WATERVLIET – Thomas S. Moquin, 74, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at The Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital after a long illness.

Thomas was born on March 2, 1940 in Elizabethtown, NY and was the son of the late Marion (Whisher) Moquin. He was also predeceased by his wife, Gloria (Fountain) Moquin; his son, Thomas S. Moquin Jr.; and his brothers, Gerald, Frank and Paul.

Tom was a foreman at the Port of Albany for many years before retiring. He enjoyed traveling, country music, dogs, and most of all spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Tom is the brother of Donald (Helen) Moquin, Robert (Teresa) Moquin, and Anne Miner; stepfather of John H. (Diane) Ryan; grandfather of Elissa and Andrea Ryan and great grandfather of Ella Marie Roy. He was also survived by several beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff and both the Rubin Dialysis Center and The Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital for all the support, comfort and love they gave to Tom.

A funeral service will be held at 12 noon Monday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens in Colonie. There will be no calling hours.
