Troy- Thomas F. Spenard, 60, passed away suddenly Wednesday, April 9, 2025 with his loving family by his side. He was the son of the late Jeffrey, Sr. and Ellen Spenard. Tom was the devoted husband to Karol L. Spenard. They were married 26 years.
In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by his sons, Justin and Tyler Spenard; his brother, Jeffrey Spenard, Jr.; his sister, Ellen (Mike) Heller; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Tom is predeceased by his brothers, Michael and William Spenard.
Tom was a graduate of Troy High School , class of 1982. He was currently employed for New York State OGS and previously for Troy Belting Company.
Tom enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He took pleasure in cooking for his family. Tom loved humor and shared many laughs with his son, Justin , reading "The Far Side Comics ". Formerly, Tom played baseball for Troy High and the Twilight League where he was a power hitter player . His son, Tyler followed in his passion for baseball . Tom loved watching Tyler pitch . In his free time , Tom enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, relaxing and listening to music, especially drum solos! He always looked forward to Spring to start his garden at home and kept busy on projects and repairs to his home and rental property. Tom loved the 3 Stooges and the Boston Red Sox! He will be missed dearly by his family.
Visitation with the family will be held at Center Brunswick Fire House, 1045 Hoosick road, Troy, NY on Thursday, April 17th from 4-6pm. Followed by memorial services at 6pm.
