Thomas W. Town, 85, of Rotterdam, went home to be with his Savior on Monday, June 19, 2017 with his loving family by his side.
Tom was the son of the late Tom and Minnie (Saur) Town.
Tom is survived by his Daughters, Leah E. (Gary) Blanton, Katharine M. (Shawn) Whalen, Julia M. Town, Brother, Kenneth R. (Jane) Town, Granddaughter, Tori K. (Kevin) Compton, Grandsons, Cody D. Blanton, Shane T. Whalen, Erik D. Whalen, Great-Grandsons, Caleb T. Compton, Bradey J. Compton, Jase R. Compton; Sister-in law Marilou Town and several nieces, great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother William R. Town.
Tom was a member of the Lisha Kill Seniors, Korean War Veterans and a communicant of King of Kings Evangelical Lutheran Church in Clifton Park. He was also a member of the Niagara Mohawk Retirees Group. He was an avid fan of the New York Giants and the Brooklyn Dodgers. Tom enjoyed spending time with his entire family and dear friends.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, on Sunday July 2, 2017 from 1-3 p.m. A memorial service will be held immediately following at 3 p.m., at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to: St. Peter's ALS Regional Center, 19 Warehouse Row, Albany, NY 12205.
