Colonie – Thomas V. Adams, 83, passed away Wednesday March 31, 2010 surrounded by his loving family.
Tom was born in Albany April 18, 1926, the son of the late Thomas F. and Katherine Adams and was a lifelong area resident. He proudly served in the US Army during WW II from 1944 to 1946 and was a member of American Legion post #1610 in North Albany. Tom worked for Williams Press as a Press Operator for over thirty years, General Electric for ten years and the Watervliet Arsenal for ten years. He enjoyed bingo, playing the harmonica, deep sea fishing and camped his entire life.
He is survived by his wife Nelda Adams, children: Karen (Arthur) Faraci, Thomas P. (Eileen) Adams and David (Marian) Adams, step-daughter Janice Branam, brother Edward Adams, ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday 8:15am from New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie then to St. Clare's Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 am. Calling hours will be Monday 4:00 to 7:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Saratoga National Cemtery.
